The importance of Food and Wine is sometimes overrated
Brand new restaurants keep popping upon while others seems dated
I must admit and at least for me it’s true
There is something beautiful about being new.
We have our favorites an attribute or a fault?
In Berkeley on San Pablo a new restaurant has appeared called Sea Salt.
A name that conjures up images of shrimp and cod and other fishes
What’s delicious is the fish and chips and bass and tuna tartar and many other dishes.
The ambiance homey and comfortable as you would imagine
No suite and tie, it’s Berkeley and as usual casual is the fashion.
The service I was very surprised because right from the start
It existed brilliantly, I thought actually caring for people was a lost art.
But the staff had us well in hand
I just wish the fish and chips were cooked in healthier oil because there were so good, man.
But new restaurants sometimes we unfortunately sometimes miss
Which could be terrible especially if they have an exceptional wine list.
And Sea Salts wine list is quality not quantity
Their Pinot Noir, their Chardonnay, their Cab, all in all worked for me.
